I checked voltage output and it was only giving me around 90 volts AC. I bought this 300 watt inverter to to charge battery, but I realized it wasn't chargeing.
After that experience, I replaced the fuses in the auto for the power outlets and tried it again, but now unit was dead.The only item plugged in was a DELL Laptop Computer.I have not had time to pursue returning it as defective, but need to do so.
Worth the money and I'd recommend it to a friend. Yes, there is a quiet "whirring" sound from the fan, but if you're driving down a highway or have the radio on low, you'd never hear the fan.I think it was a good purchase. We bought this item so that we could use our laptop in the car and also to be able to plug in more items in our RV. I like that it has two outlets.Some people have said it was "loud" but I didn't understand that at all.
great product; beats buying a new car charger for your cell phone every time you buy a new phone
This was a great purchase and I am also able to save by not having to purchase separate car chargers for my cell phones, they just plug into the power converter. I am able to work on my laptop while my wife drives and the kids watch their portable dvd player in the back. I purchased the Belkin AC power converter for my cross country trip from california to virginia. I am half way done with the trip and the power converter has worked extremely well.
